    This piece centers on a quiet, persistent act of thinking.
    The face is fragmented, but the gaze remains steady—absorbed, searching, and inward.

    Surrounding forms gather like layers of thought, dense and unresolved. There is no clear release, only a continuous process of holding, questioning, and enduring.

    Thinking here is not clarity—it is weight that stays.

    Young Kim is a distinguished contemporary painter based in the North Dallas area. He has received multiple awards for his unique artistic style, including being named Artist of the Year in Lewisville in 2025. Kim also served as a board member of VAGF in 2025. His artworks are featured at Sparrows Gallery in Sherman, and he exhibits both locally and internationally, notably in the Netherlands. Additionally, Young Kim is an accomplished professional photographer with several international awards from WPE (world photography awards); his fine art portrait photography appeared on the covers of several fashion magazines between 2020 and 2021. Recently, he launched a print-on-demand art print business alongside his painting practice, introducing PaintnLife.com for artwork prints.
